According to the latest data report from Canalys, in the second quarter of 2023, global shipments of personal smart audio devices (including TWS, wireless headsets, and wireless neckbands) finally rebounded. Compared with the double-digit decline in the previous quarter, Shipments this quarter reached 95.68 million units, declined by only 2% and basically equaling the same period last year.

True wireless headphones (TWS) are an important category among personal smart audio devices. Market shipments this quarter were 68.18 million units, recovering 8% growth.

In terms of manufacturers, Apple (including beats), which ranks first, still leads the market with a market share of 26%. Benefiting from JBL’s entry-level TWS, Samsung (including Harman subsidiaries) overall shipments increased by 3%, ranking second with a market share of 9%. BoAt, a local Indian manufacturer, relied on its familiar and extremely cost-effective approach to win the third place in market share, with a year-on-year increase of 38%. Xiaomi continued to rely on Redmi’s cost-effective products to rank fourth with a market share of 5%, a year-on-year increase of 6%. Ranked fifth is OPPO (including OnePlus), with a market share of 4%, a year-on-year increase of 25%.
