On February 10, 2022, Nordic Semiconductor announced that “Sennheiser, one of the world’s leading audio brands, has decided to use Nordic’s Bluetooth LE audio technology in future consumer products. Nordic Semiconductor will develop broadcast mode solutions for Sennheiser’s consumer products. ”

In this collaboration, Sennheiser will use Nordic’s nRF5340 system-on-chip (SoC) to provide consumer audio solutions that enable the hearing impaired or those living in noisy home environments to have a great audio experience, both of which Can benefit from volume boost.

Stephan Lietz, head of consumer development at Sennheiser, said: “We were looking for a reliable short-range Bluetooth LE audio wireless solution for some of our upcoming products, this through-the-wall range and Reliability is very important to consumers and is one of the many reasons why we chose Nordic Semiconductor as our development partner.”
